About MeI'm an aviation enthusiast who has always had a passion for flying. I learnt to fly as a teenager and managed to get my first license before my drivers license.
Unfortunately due to some misinformation at that time I didn't pursue career as a pilot. Instead I pursued a career as an Air Traffic Controller. However I was too young at the time for ATC and then they didn't recruit for almost 4 years. I ended up working and studying part time in Civil Engineering. As I approached the end of my engineering, I saw an advertisement for ATC recruiting again and applied. It's now all history and I've been an ATC since. I have always flown but not commercially although I do have a current Commercial License. I have formation endorsement and IFR ratings. |

I did look at several aircraft and some friends tried to get me to go towards another particular one. After about 2 years of reviewing, flying and decision making I chose the RV-14A due to it's: 1. Bigger cockpit size 2. Large community of builders 3. Vans History and number of RV's flying 4. True sub-kit form. Others have sub-kits but you need to buy all at same time. 5. Performance 6. Costs |
